Kuwait preparing for second stage of gradual return to normalcy
Kuwait : The Cabinet called on all citizens and expats to adhere to health requirements to reach the indicators that would allow for movement to the second stage of the plan for the gradual return to normal life until the coronavirus pandemic is contained
The Minister of Health explained to the Council of Ministers the developments of the health situation in the country as a result of the spread of the virus from the statistics related to the numbers of cases, treatment and deaths in various governorates of Kuwait, where it was found that the number of cured cases increased by more than 75 percent compared to the increase of infected cases in some non-lockdown areas.
The Health minister continued to update the Council of Ministers on the latest developments of both the treatment and preventive measures related to efforts to handle the spread of the coronavirus, and reviewed the recommendations made by the Ministerial Committee, and the Council of Ministers decided the following:
◾️ The adoption of daily guidelines for the reopening of the businesses in the second and third stage of the gradual return to normal life plan presented and prepared by the Council of Ministers General Secretariat (CMGS)
◾️ Agreeing to return to training practices only for sports activities, while adhering to health requirements and deadlines for the practice activities in accordance with the stages of the gradual return plan for normal life.
In addition, the official spokesman for the government, Tariq Al-Muzaram, announced today, Monday, the cabinet approval of a draft decree appointing a president and vice-president to the General Authority for Combating Corruption and members of the Board of Trustees.
