Oman Air plane makes emergency landing at Mumbai airport
Mumbai: A Mumbai-Muscat flight of Oman Air, with over 200 people on board, made an emergency landing at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai on Wednesday evening following an engine failure shortly after take-off.
Flight WY204 was airborne for barely 10 minutes when one of its engines failed, forcing it to return after taking off around 4.15pm.
A full emergency was declared at the airport as the flight landed safely on a single engine. There were more than 200 passengers aboard and no injuries were reported, according to the Times of India.
