‘Most dedicated’ professionals shortlisted in a tough decision.

A teacher from India, Pakistan and the Philippines are among six teachers who have been shortlisted for the the ‘Most Dedicated Teacher’ award, a competition being conducted by the Cambridge University Press.

They include Ahmed Saya, who teaches at a private school in Karachi, Pakistan; Abhinandan Bhattacharya, JBCN International School: Oshiwara, India; Anthony Chelliah, Gateway College, Sri Lanka; Candice Green, St Augustine’s College, Australia; Jimrey Dapin, University of San Jose-Recoletos, Philippines; and Sharon Kong Foong, Sunway College, Malaysia.

It was a tough decision for the judges but they have now decided on the six finalists for the Dedicated Teacher Awards 2019, Cambridge said in a tweet.

Voting for the award will remain open till January 27, 2019, and the “the lucky winner will win a trip to Cambridge, UK, as well as CPD opportunities for their school”, according to reports.

The Cambridge University Press website said: “From October-December 2018, we invited students, teachers or anyone with an inspiring teacher story to share with us so we could say thank you together.”

A panel of experts from the field of education picked the six finalists for the award.
